Hey Y’all,

A little about me.

I am Libby, and all of my life I have enjoyed food, music, movies, learning, and books.

I am originally from Oregon, then lived in Montana, and am now on the East Coast. Throughout all of my travels, I have met some amazing people who come from each of the above places and beyond. I created a book club with my dear friend, Donovan, in order to have a reason to keep in contact despite our distance and it has come to mean something very special to me.

The goal of our book club is to connect our social circle with other awesome people who enjoy reading interesting books just for the sake enjoyment. If joining a book club interests you, then please join our discord. We aim to read a new book monthly, our members utilize either paperback or audiobooks, whatever makes it easier on the reader.

Each tab has different reviews/recommendations from myself and possibly in the future, other members of our book club.

Content that interests me in particular include horror, comedy, and social justice reads. I am a registered nurse with a background in emergency medicine but now specialize in neonatal intensive care. Because of this, I feel it’s important to engage in media that sheds light on necessary topics such as racism, feminism, and healthcare inequality. I am currently completing a post-bacc and eventually aim to apply to DO school.

Some of my favorite books include The Southern Book Clubs Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix and Being Mortal by Atul Gawande.

I live with my amazing partner, McCabe, our cats, Bozeman and Multnomah, and snake, Lavender, in Washington, DC.
